Product Review: Intuos 4 Tablet

intuos-4-drawing-tablet

I finally bought a drawing tablet and love it. I have used all of the Intuos tablets that were made except the latest. I finally went out to purchase it and as soon as I opened the box I said to myself  ” Wacom you did it again!” With an all new beautiful design I knew this tablet was as good as it looked.

Not only did the tablet have a new and better look, it had better layout that works well for for any user, both right handed and left. With the Intuos3, the buttons and touch strip were located on both sides of the tablet area. Intuos4, had keys easy to access on one side of the tablet. The new Intuos still has 8 shortcut keys, The tablet has a great variety of sizes to choose from. Another great thing about the tablet was that it came with extra nibs and it also came with software for those who don’t have it already. These tablets are easier to use than a mouse and they doubled the pressure sensitivity. With this the accuracy of your drawings will increase. Designing with 2048 levels of pen pressure  feels almost like drawing on paper.

The only con I found from this tablet was that the older pens aren’t compatible with this new tablet.

When buying a tablet I say cheaper isn’t better. This is one of those situations that you get what you pay for. Comparing this tablet to other tablets is like comparing a Aston Martin to a Honda. Intuos 4 is the way to go.
